    Default ammo use

What would be the affect if 38 supper ammo was fired from a 357 revolver?

It probably won't fire. Since the 357 is a rim case round and the 38 super is an auto rim case it would go too far into the cylinder. The 357 is head-spaced on the rim and the 38 super is head-spaced on the mouth of the case.

Very good answer, to the point, well written. This is the kind of response we need to post to an honest question by new members. Thank you Redhat
