Help for tourist,visitor to buy,trap,gun

Hi everyone. We will be visiting Washington in October and are very interested in visiting a few gun shops and perhaps purchasing a trap gun to bring back home. Does anyone know what the legal requirements are to purchase a gun whilst touring and to leave the country with it? We will be flying in and out of Vancouver, so will require advice re border crossing.

If you are not an American citizen, I don't believe you can purchase a firearm here.

You can, but you must be here on an immigration type visa and have 90 days consecutive residency in one state.

A tourist visiting from Canada.... no, sorry, not legal.
