Can I get an Amen... Louder!!! AMEN!!!

Well said.

yup...hardheaded, takes no bs (at least from me), pretty straight-up and in your face. Unlike those southern girls I dated lo those many years ago, who smiled sweetly, agreed with anything you said, but forced you to sleep with one eye open if you ever ticked 'em off. Gotta love 'em all (especially since they're all packin' now!).

How you been, 6shooter? Haven't heard from you in a few days.

My favorite part is that you changed his screen name to protect his identity and in the first sentence he says "My name is Frank" Did you change that too?

I think you left it on purpose, like saying "That retard in Washington with the initials BARACK OBAMA"

I’ve been busy here. I just had the best weekend in some time. My father's birthday was last week and he wanted one thing for his present: All his family in one place for the weekend. It was emotional and great for the soul. My brother was in from GA, my sister with her kids, both of his brothers and kids, his mom, and my cousin who has been living in the US Virgin Islands for the past 3.5 years… 4 generations in one house for meals and lots of wine…I smiled more in 2 days than I have in months.

But I missed you too..

Picked up a new S&W M&P 45acp, maybe I'll get to the range this weekend.. And you? Keeping out of trouble?

Uh, nope...check the "carry and bowling" thread and you'll see I incited a small riot, there. I did apologize to the poster who I thought called me "stupid" but I haven't seen a return post from him yet. Hope he's not sulking. One of these days, I'll stop pissing people off (hah!).

Reunion sounded great. Enjoy your Dad; I just noted the 3rd anniversary of my Dad's passing this month. I miss him greatly. Mom will be gone 2 years this January. Miss her a lot, too. My siblings, not so much (another story). I always spent as much time with my sons as I could when they were growing up (I was the basketball coach, baseball coach, Sunday school teacher, hunting and fishing guide, the works). Now, they're grown (27, 25) and we're as close as can be.

Have fun with the new firearm. Catch you on the flip.

Carry and bowling huh... Just shoot the pins you leave up... I'll have to go and read.

My father and I have a better relationship now that I'm older and a father of two. I appreciate him more now. Both parents still with me but they are at the tail end of a divorce that started last year. It made things stressful for all involved.

I do the same for my kids. Assistant coached softball and soccer for my daughter and baseball with my son. I take them to the lake house in NY and we fish for hours. He caught the bigger bass this year, right off the end of the dock! He sits with me at the table when I'm cleaning my guns and I quiz him on the do's and don'ts. He’s 8 so I’m going to get him an air rifle for Christmas this year and start with the basics.

Peace… and play nice.
