Default how to conduct private sales?

Im going to be selling a firearm soon hopefully at a gun show coming up. I live in Indiana (dont know if that matters). Do I need to have a bill of sales? Should I record the buyers information (name, DLN...)?

Here in MA for a private sale (incl gun shows) no background check is required. They only require that the seller and buyer complete a form with one another's LTC Permit info, send it into the state and the sale is complete. This is also a legal way around buying a firearm not allowed by the MA Atty General's office. Wacky laws in PRMA!

At the very least I would write up a bill of sale with the following info.

I BUYERS_NAME bought the following firearm MAKE_MODEL_S/N from SELLERS_NAME on DATE at GUN_SHOW_NAME.

Make sure both people sign the bill of sale. Just my opinion.
