I have a SC CWP, which isn't reciprocated to GA, so am wondering how to handle my up-coming visit to GA. I know traveling through GA I can put in glove-box, but this summer I'll be in Toccoa Falls at a Summer Camp for a week.
Because my SC CWP isn't recognized in GA I don't plan on carrying on my person, but keep it secured in my vehicle. The camp is on a private college campus, so I am unsure if this is legal or not. Camp policy is not to allow weapons, and I generally want to comply with their policy, but do want it close by if needed.
Does anyone know what are the laws about this?
Thanks for the input!

You're not going to like the news. Per Georgia law, it is a felony to possess a weapon on school property. THe law covers both private as well as public schools. There are exceptions, but it doesn't appear your case will be one of them. 16-11-127.html
