Question Consecutively Serial-Numbered GLOCKS

How many out there have 'em? I have two 30s for carry modified to my preferences. I'm curious how many others are out there.

No not I but I was wondering how you like to carry and what you have done to glock. Mine have night sight on front and thats all.

I've carried various ways over the years, but keep coming back to appendex carry. This seems to work best for me and I like the fact I can draw the weapon from just about any angle (standing, sitting, on my back, etc.) plus have almost absolute control over someone trying to grab it.

My modifications include an internal laser for those times it may be needed - (my first choice is to obtain a flash-site picture); 3.5# connector (with overtravel stop); extended slide stop; extended slide lock (goes with the internal laser); extended mag release and some non-slip tape placed strategically under the trigger guard and grip. I have a few cosmetic modifications also, but these lend nothing to use in a self-defence situation. I don't care for night sites - in low-light situations I find the laser most reliable for my needs, though I suppose having both (laser could fail) would work, too.

This setup works well for me, but your preferences will vary.

I have tritium on my 1911's and love them. My glocks are mostly stock and 27 has some skate board tape on it with large night front sight.I found weak night sights wash out when using flash light.

I have a pair of G19 pistols. Sort of a "his and hers" thing. I wouldn't carry a 9mm as my first choice. The opportunity for consecutive serial numbers was there, so we took it. She likes the 9mm and shoots very well. I use mine for my NRA Basic Pistol classes.

It's exactly what it sounds like - the holster & weapon are placed over the appendex area, around the 2 o'clock position (assuming you're right-handed).

Gotcha! I've carried that way before, but I never knew that anyone ever specifically referred to it as appendix carry.

I thought that type of carry was referred to as a 'smart carry' though I never understood why.
