Default Glock 23 and 27

I have a Glock 23 but I am want a sub compact to conceal easier. I would prefer a 27, mainly to stick with the same caliber. Is the recoil gonna be considerably more than on the 23? If so, I would rather go with a 26 since I don't have a problem with 9mm. Any suggestions?

I've owned a 19, 26, 23, 27, and 30. If you are already competent with the 23, the 27 is a great choice. I think you are wise to stay with the same caliber. If you haven't already done so, go to your local shooting range and try the 27. I think you'll be happy with it. I currently carry my Glock 19 almost everywhere I go, and almost never have a problem concealing it under even a t-shirt. And since fall is here and it's almost jacket weather, IWB should be pretty easy. Hope that helps...

The recoil will be more in the smaller gun. How much it will bother you and effect your shooting depends. Everyone is different. My advice is try one out if you can before buying. As far as the 9mm that is all I carry. I see nothing wrong with 9mm . Others do. As the old song by Sly and the family stone "Everyday people" said. "different strokes for different folks".

I have a G27 and never felt that the recoil was as bad as some people say it is. I was pleasantly surprised by that the first time I shot it.

As far as staying with the same caliber, I completely agree. In addition to the G27, I just purchased a KelTec Sub2000 in .40 designed for the G22 magazine. When I have saved up some more, I will add a G22 or a G23 to my collection. I like the thought of having several weapons that not only use the same ammo, but use the same magazines, as well.

I have just bought a G23. It is not as small as the 27, but fits my hand better. I have no problem in keeping it concealed. I also have a S2K with G22 mags so they complement each other.
