I'm starting this group as I LOVE fishing and would like to see if other members like fishing as much as I do. If so, let's talk about it!

Several guys fish up and down the East Coast, and do some tournaments. Maybe they'd appreciate fishing reports, weather updates, locations of secret fishing holes.........
Seeing kayaks 2-3 miles offshore when the weather is decent isn't too unusual, but last winter we were out fishing the 3-mile EEZ line for stripers, and there was a guy out there on a jet-ski trolling 2 lines behind him! The worst part was that there was an absolute flotilla of boats from 18' to 50' straining the water for fish, along with giant flocks of gannets dive-bombing the bait balls. All we could do was shake our heads and grin at the guy's determination. It MIGHT have been 40 degrees out.

ear plugs huh? interesting.. I usually only use them when I am shooting or performing music on stage... even if they do work though, wouldn't the marshmallows be cheaper? maybe just the used earplugs? boy talk about a tasty treat for the fish.

So you fish freshwater mostly. I'm mostly salt but I did go kayak fishing in the Hillsborough River and caught my biggest bass, about 12 inches hehe. I also caught a few gar which was kinda cool.

Ill be in Florida Sept 18-24 Juniper beech. We fish for Stripers,Wipers,Small/Large Bass, and Crappie. My personal favorite is A put-and-Take Trout stream 30 minutes from home. My home town has two huge federal Lakes close and five city water supply lakes. More than 30 minutes travel would bring even more opportunities.
