How did everyone do this past deer season? We usually put two or three in the freezer and make smoked sausage out of some. But this year was different I got a doe with the muzzel loader the first day of gun season and the Mrs. missed an 8 point. Archery season and the rest of gun season we never got a shot. Now that season is over there are 8 to 10 right outside the kitchen window eating at the bird feeder every evening. Maybe they will hang around and draw in a few big bucks for next year. We had some deer steaks for supper last night, but not enought to make sausage this year. Take Care Debray
Debray, I saw nothing Nov. or Dec., Took two 7 pointers on Jan. 9 and 24. Saw 13 does on the 9th. General gun and late muzzleloader seasons here run until Mar. 1, so I hope to get another for smoked sausage and jerky. Hopefully, this was just an off year for you, I had two no-deer seasons out of the last 4.
Well I did great as is normal for my place. I had 2 Does and 6 Bucks that I put down with the Crossbow,B.P.rifle and my .270 rifle. My 14 year old Grandson hunted for the first time this year and was in my ground stand for 1 hr. when he slamed a 10 point 21" spread 180 lb. buck. Yes he is now spoiled. Bill
