Does anyone have an SKS the want to tell about? WULFPAC
I have a Norinco SKS that my grandfather gave to me. I have about 20 guns but this one is my personal favorite. I truly enjoy shooting it. I prefer it over my AK. I am thinking about selling my AK, but with BO coming, I may just hold on to it!
I have a Romanian made SKS from the 1950's era. I love this rifle. I have a friend who thinks they are crap because the "rattle" when you shake them. We had a little compitition, he with his AR and me with my SKS at 100 yards. He was shocked to see I shot tighter groups than he did as he was using an ACOG and I was only using my iron sights. I was thinking about adding a Tapco stock set to it but I'm not sure if I really need to.
I got a Russian SKS, manufactured 1954. Sure are fun to shoot, but ammo is hard to find right now. I just ordered a monte carlo for it, I'll post some pics when I get it in. Everyone loves gun porn.
I have a Chinese model. It shoots as well as any gun I have. I just got a chest bandolier for it. It holds 200 rounds of ammo on stripper clips, 2 per pocket. I love it. I also just purchased another 500 rounds from Able ammo for $135.00. Not bad in todays world. Able is now out of it at that price. Things seem to be calming down a little on the ammo run.
Can anyone here tell me how to read the markings and figure out the Date and place my SKS came from? Then you can help me decide if I want the Black polymer stock or the fiberforce stock! TIA

I just picked up a Chinese model for a steal here. Some poor guy lost his job and needed the money. I happenned to be in the store and it was on consignment. I have a friend w/ a few of these and he said the Chinese was one of the good ones. - chrome-lined barrell, and either machined of stamped, but even if it was stamped, the steel was still good quality. I have yet to fire it yet... soon, this week probably. It's been awhile since I fired one of these. They ARE fun though. I have read controversial issues regarding accuracy on these. Some state they are decent, others state they are crap. I will find out bench shooting this one. It has a decent length barrel, longer than an AK. So, I am interested in finding out.
I have a Russian model SKS I bought back in 2002. I had it shipped to me from over seas and it came in packing grease, what a *****. I got it all cleaned up and got a nice case for it and guess what??? I've never even put one single round through it. I know huh. I love it though. It is one seriously mean looking weapon. It is pre ban with the bayonet and grenade launcher.
