    Default federal hydra shok 180gr

I have a glock 23 and just bought 50 rds for 29$. Anyone have a review on them? I normally carry 180gr pdx1.

I usually only run Federals through my 870 and rifles. I have NEVER had any problems running Federal Premium .40 S&W 180gr hydra-shok jhp's through my S&W. and have never had a problem running American Eagle 180gr. So far my SWSD has NOT had a problem with anything i put through it, I just feel VERY comfortable with Federals

I have always used the hydrashoks and use them to this day. But i have read about them not having as good of expansion as some other rounds. Just fuel for thought....

My CHL instructor advised the rounds in question, but after further research I have found that these rounds were good for there day and am sure they'lk still put a hurt on someone. But....I now believe speer gold dolt is a better choice, better expansion and in my .45 less corlateral worry for me. Just my opinion.

The Hydrashock is an old tech bullet. They tend to plug on heavy clothing. The Ranger-T, Gold Dot and HST are far better choices.
