S&W Model 29-2

Hello All,
Over this fine weekend I picked up a S&W Model 29-2, it has been gently used. The only thing that it has had done to it is at some place in its life the barrel was ported. Did they come this way or did someone have this done?

It may have come that way but not from the factory. I have seen them new on gun racks ported, but they always said "ported by...".
And IMHO porting on a 629-2 is a good idea.

I have 629 3"bbl that I am considering porting. It is fun to let the big dog eat, but my standard hand load is below the big dog eat scale. 240 gr SWC Hard Cast at 1125 fps.
