I have about 10,000 rounds through my M&P 9c and show almost no signs of wear.
I've got about 400rds thru my M&P 40, It seems to me the the wear marks on the top of the barrel wear it rubs the top of the slide seems IMO like a hell of alot more than 400rds went thru the gun. Anybody elses seem to look more worn than the guns age? I'm pretty liberal when I oil (there at least), I tried to take a pic of it but doesn't really show in pics right.

I have both The MP40 shows more wear than my MP9
so in IMHO the wear is due to the caliber.
Never had a problem with my 40MP(before I sold it) or my two 9mm MP's.
THEY MAY TAKE OUR LIVES BUT THEY'LL NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM!!!!!
