    Smile bought a 1911ES....

I added a 1911ES to the family. I couldn't pass it up, this is my first 1911. I bought it used for $699, I don't think it has been shot more than one time. there is not a mark on it. Even the magazines are perfect, not a scratch on them. It came with crimson trace grips in black, I also got the factory wood grain grips. I took it to the range and it shot anything I put in it. When it is loaded it is no heavier than my G36. I will continue to CC my glock for now, but after I become more familiar with it, who knows! I bought a Don Hume clip on IWB, and it carries very well.

You lucky dog! I've had my eye on a good 1911 for concealed carry for months now but haven't been able to afford it. It sounds like you got a good deal!

I personally think 1911's are great for concealed carry. It certainly beats carrying my beretta px4 other than in magazine capacity.

Nice gun at a great price. I would jump at that opportunity. If you decide you don't like it, send me a pm. :<)

I felt like I was breaking a rule by buying a 1911, when my other CC's were GLOCK (19, 36). But I am liking it more and more....!
