Great--now we've got NRA-PC don't say the 'w' word...
I have a right to defend myself and preserve my republic; the Bill of Rights recognizes my right to use a WEAPON to those ends!
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.--River Tam
I call them "weapons" all the time. I hate having to use "politically correct" names for things. I also don't like the term "firearms for sporting use".
It's a gun plain and simple. It is not a firearm for sporting use. It is not a politically correct personal defense item for the immediate dispatch of thuggery, IT IS A GUN!
LIBERALS take note. I have guns, I like guns, I use guns. I carried a gun in the military. I carry a gun in the woods. I carry a gun to protect the things I care most about. It is a tool to protect my family and interests. It is a tool to harvest food. It is a tool to protect the freedoms paid for by the blood of others before us. IT IS A GUN!

IN OMNIA PARATUS
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house;by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith Heb.11:7
A gun is a weapon, just like someones fist is a weapon, or a beer bottle can be used as a weapon. Its just a general term. Just like the term gun is too general, so we should all just stop saying gun, cuz we could be talking about an air gun, paint ball gun, airsoft gun, water gun. Same thing buddy. If your pulled over by a cop and your CCW carrying and he/she asks if you have any weapons are you gonna say no i have a tool though, or no weapons officer, just my gun!
Websters defines weapon as:
1.) Any implement of war or combat, as a sword, gun etc..
2.) Any means that may be used against an adversary.
3.) Any defensive organism or part of an animal or plant, as a claw, tooth, thorn, etc.
