Well you do need a backup gun...
I recently sold off all my handguns in an effort to consolidate down to 1 handgun, 1 rifle and 1 shotgun. I was pretty set on getting a Springfield xd sub 9mm, but as I was shopping today there it was, my dream gun. The Sig p238. Silly dream gun I know but its one of those guns I really wanted but refused to pay almost 600 bucks for a .380. Well its on sale until the 11th for 499 including the lazer! I really can't afford both and never will.
So if you had a choice between the Springfield xd sub compact or the Sig p238 as your ONLY handgun, which route would you choose and why? The lazer included is awesome, I love that on a carry pistol, but then again it adds bulk to a gun that's supposed to be hidden. The xd has a 13 round capacity which is what I was looking for.

9mm backed up by a 380, sounds right to me.
If this is going to be your "primary" weapon, then i would choose the springfield, solely because i believe that you should choose the highest caliber you can effectively shoot, and 9mm is a proven caliber (military, LE) .380 are nice as a BUG however i would not use it as a primary
Scratch both and go with a Glock 26;) had to say it .....lol
I like this answer.
At first I chose the XD .45 but felt it was to big so I opted for Tauras PT145 .45 for compacity & plus I lIke .45, O've become pretty proficient at 7 to 15 yds, so that plus an extra mag, 21 rnds total. Plus my Kel-Tek p3at on my ankle w/extra mag gives me 13 rnds of .380. In short, I personally like capacity.

What did you do a fool thing like that for? Never sell guns or guitars. You'll always regret it.
I've traded and sold to come up. I started with a kel tec pf9 and now I have 900 to split between a handgun and a shotgun. I just priced a mossberg 500 for 279 too which is exciting :POriginally Posted by Providence Ranch:248775
That's pretty high for a Mossberg 500, unless it's all outfitted with tactical-plastical stuff. I bought mine used for $125 this year. (Admittedly that's a bit low, but you can find them under $200 all day long if you look around a bit.)
