Someone is going to accuse you of loading potato chips into your weapon when you say "clip". LOL... I have never heard of a spring in a "magazine" getting so weak it will not load the last round.

Ummm...before someone less kind comments on your post, you might want to change "clip" to "magazine." I will grant you, it sounds way cooler, but a clip is used for belt or gravity-fed weapon. And the answer is that your spring will never wear out.

Magazine springs wear out from cycling not from remaining in a static position (either compressed or relaxed). they're also not all that exspenive to replace. I have a couple of magazines that have been loaded continously for years and they still work just fine.

Sweet! Ruger came out with a 9 shot revolver! The cylinder should rotate as long as you either squeeze the trigger or cock the hammer. Springs normally take 1000s' of rounds before they wear out. Hope you're enjoying your new revolver.

I don't know if it's true that a 'fully loaded' clip will weaken the spring, but I always keep the final space empty from all of my magazines 'just in case' it may be true.

I have owned magazines that ive kept fully loaded for ten to fifteen years now, with no spring weakening, and no failures to feed right up to the follower.
