Default What is a good 22 cal. handgun for target shooting?

I'm looking at getting a 22cal. hand gun for target shooting, I want a good one at a good price and was wondering which one would be good and dependable gun. I carry a Glock 26 most of the time, but I have Rugers, Beretta, Kimber, all ranging from 380 to 45 cal, I like all of those guns and brands and they have been dependable.
    What do you think?

I hear the Beretta Neos, and Ruger Mark series are good pistols, the S&W .22 line looks really good as well. I'd tell you to get an M&P in .22 but for 419 MSRP, you can buy a 9mm or something like that. The M&P is an amazing pistol, I love my 9mm, accurate, reliable, and no FTF/F or FTE. Hope this helps you out!

I have always had and do own the Ruger Mark pistols, my first one was a Mark II 5-7/8 " barrel tapered blue ( you can find these for around $180-$230 used today) ...today I have the Mark III blue bull barrel :D ...except for the very rare FTE or FTF (because of cheap ammo) I've never had any problems with them. I highly recommend them.

Ruger Mark series, had it for years and not a single problem. Also have a Ruger Super Single Six with the LR and Magnum cylinders. Very accurate and durable. The magnum gives it a real kick and it is 7/8th the size of a Blackhawk series.
Both guns are fun to shoot and you'll find yourself going through a lot of ammo.

HUH? Ruger or Browning Buck Mark?

I prefer the Ruger Mark series, some have said the Mark III's are not as good and the Mark II's, but don't know for sure. Ruger has always made a fine, durable 22LR pistol.

I have had a S&W (622) and is turned out to be a POS, believe that is why they quit making it.

But these are plinking guns, not necessarily good for practice with for your CCW training.

I swear by Ruger Mark III. I have one with the stainless bull barrel and form-fitted grip. I took a pic (below) with my Mac.

I fell in love with the Ruger Mark series when I shot an old Mark I at the range one day and couldn't miss.

The Mark series is kinda tricky when re-assembling from a thorough cleaning, but once you get the hang of it, it's a snap. I usually clean mine with a snake.

I wouldn't recomend the Browning Buckmark. Constant jamming, I tried defferint ammo, it seemed to only like cci blazer, everything jammed.
