    Default Kel Tec Pf-9

Looking for the good, the bad, and the ugly low down on Kel Tec Pf-9's. I've read a little bit about them online. Wondering if anyone has had any PERSONAL experience with a newer one that has had all the corrections done by the factory (feed ramp, metal mag release etc.). Seems like a nice go between for my LCP and G27. I'm sure if I dug through the forums I could find something, but it would take hours.

Thanks for any and all info.

    Jake

Excellent EDC piece. It has it's detractors though. It's a personal def gun, not a range gun nor a safe queen. It won't be fun to shoot either. Don't look to make it a "pretty" one, it's a personal defense easily concealable 9mm pistol. You will need to practice with it. Mine eats pretty much whatever I feed it. Stay away from steel cased and other ammo that is not recommended. Get on KTOG.Org - Kel-Tec Owners Group and check out what other PF9 users are saying about our gun.

My daughter has one, it's sweet. What else can I say?

I have one and I like it. Crude and harsh but effective and highly concealable.

I'm not sure about the new model, didn't know they made that many changes. I got mine the first 6 months they were out. I press the mag release when I put a mag in as recommended. After a year and a few hundred rounds (your not going to shoot it all the time, it's not that pleasant), the only problem I ever had showed up. A pin that held the ejector to the frame backed out and blocked the hammer. Sent it to Kel Tec and received it back with a new frame. Since then at least 700-800 rounds, no problems. I carry it every day, in pocket during the week, side holster under an untucked shirt on the weekend.

Thanks for all the info folks. It's much appreciated. I think I'll give one a try. Can't beat the price.
