number of pistols allowed on permit

I've been doing some research and have not yet found my answer. I am from New York and have a CCW for dutchess county and am trying to find out how many pistols I can have on my permit. Does anyone have any info on this??

In NYS there is no limit to the number of guns you can register on your permit. Your permit has room for five guns on the back. When you acquire more than that you are issued another card. One instructor that works with me has 99 handguns. He has 21 ID cards. Just make sure the license you carry matches whatever gun you're carrying.

BC1 is absolutely correct. I have, however, been asked why I believed I should be allowed to have so many guns before a judge approved the purchase of another. This was, however, 20 years ago, and have added several guns since with no questions asked. This was also in Westchester which is a difficult county so if they let me have as many as I do, there shouldn't be any issue anywhere.
