I am wholly hoping that you are correct. I just brought a condo there last week and I plan on taking my guns when I move there in the near future.

    Aloha,

New to the site and already like what i'm reading! Maybe one day we'll get concealed carry in this anti-gun state of Hawaii.

Keep hoping, from what i've seen living here in Hawaii (Oahu) for the past 10 years it's all about the connection. In my opinion this place has the most corrupt government I have ever seen. Just to let you know that when you bring your guns here, by law you have three days to take them to the main Honolulu Police Station and get them registered.

I am interested to see what comes of Mr. Youngs lawsuit. I forwarded him your suggestions on here and hopefully he can get the backing to really make a difference on this issue.

You can still come....Just don't plan on being able to protect yourself or those with you while you here.

    Default 3 Days in Hawaii?

Why that is so anti-constitutional I may barf now!
After 3 days you must register your weapons at the PD! Outrageous! What about the peaceable journey laws? How socialist has Hawaii become since I visited in 1981? If you want to live in Germany in 1938, I say go to Hawaii, it sounds like it is alive & kicking there!
I have no confidence left in that state. It may be a peaceful place to surf and soak some rays, but why even live there if you have your God-given Rights eliminated the moment you exit the plane, or boat?

I am actually returning to Hawaii as it has been my off and on between there and Japan for almost twenty years (Chaminade U is my alma mater) .

I purchased a condo in Makiki to set up retirement in a few years and I plan to bring my guns... registering with HPD is ridiculous if you ask me. Dammit HPD needs to register with HPD!!! I'll be back there fighting for my right to carry in just a few years so keep a seat warm for me and keep the pressure on those corrupt politico's.

The seat will be warm, and i hope you're ready for a fight because it has been and will continue to be a tough one.
