On a school bus
In or on property that is being used by a school for a school function

Head Start (IC 35*41*1*24.7)
Preschool (IC 35-41-1-24.7)
IC 35*47*9*1Allows the carry of firearms by persons permitted to possess and who are transporting a person to or from school or a school function.
On an aircraft
Controlled access areas of an airport
During annual State Fair 80 IAC 4-4-4 (Must lock in vehicle)

My understanding is that Indiana considers a school to be ANYWHERE that there are children or students. This includes any before or after shcool program for students, any and all day care facilities and any church that has a pre-school, day care, or after school program. These areas are schools 24/7, not just when students are there. Also, Indiana law does not require any level of intent to do harm to prosecute under this law.

Thanks Doug, I was mainly wondering if universities counted, but i'm sure they do. There's a bill that's been floating around the IN senate to allow carry on public campuses, but who knows if it'll ever go though.

I appreciate it.

In case you're wondering if the state's definition of a "school" includes colleges and universities, the answer is no, however, do exercise caution if you decide to carry at one of these places. Most, if not all, colleges and universities in the state have their own policies prohibiting firearms on their campuses, and even though you won't be arrested, the university police can nevertheless make your life miserable.

I'm sure mine does; however, this may help to change such rules.

I was wondering if you are allowed concealed into a bar or restaurant that serves alcohol. See, here in Va., we have a dumb law saying CHP holders can't carry concealed into locations that serve alcohol for on-site consumption, but we can open carry. I will be in Indianapolis for work in September and am trying to see if it will be feasible for me to carry while there...

Default Liquor licenses.

There is no CCW prohibition for establishments that serve alcohol for on premises consumption.
