carry license I just finishedmy paper work today with my local town marshall. Only to find out that i checked the box for hunting an target not personal protection. How can i get this changed and can i still buy a hand gun and leave with it the same day.

You can leave with it the same day without a carry permit. Indiana doesn't have a waiting period since the NICS was put in place. A carry permit from Indiana doesn't do anything for firearm purchases anymore as the ATF decided their checks didn't meet their, the ATF's, requirements.
Yes im in indiana sorry new to this. I have not been carrying or buying guns since 2004 so everthing has changed a little on me. I stil dont know aboit my carry license, the marshall called and they told him to change it an they would bill me the difference . Which will delay everything , lucky me. I do appreciate your imput and knowledge.

Just got my liences on friday, very happy. My town marshall was askin me if i got it. I saw him fri evening told him i got it, he shook mu hand an said congrats. LEO are here for us there r good ones out there.
I've found in general, Indiana has more gun friendly LEOs that a lot of states. But that also depends to a degree on what part of Indiana you live in. The smaller towns are generally the better ones. But that seems to be true of a lot of Mid-West states.
One of these days, probably before I die, I want to move back home to Indiana.
