We had this problem before and the police learned, under our state law the road belongs to the FD untill we clear the scene and turn it back over to them.
What you are over looking is that both the cop and the firefighter are both paid by the tax payers of Newyork and that they are paid to serve the citizens of Newyork. The cop needs to lose his job due to interfering with the firefighter while he was preforming his duty trying to save the life of the woman who was injured. In the end the cop is costing the tax payers of Newyork more money by writing a ticket that is now having tax dollars wasted. Just goes to show who the real losers are the tax payers of Newyork.![]()

What state would that be?
When they "Nudge. Shove. Shoot.",
Don't retreat. Just reload.
The original incident was in Maryland a number of yeasrs ago.
Don't know, but the New York tax payers are the losers due to that tax money could have gone else where and been of more us to the Citizens of New York then wasted on this BS.
The winner of the pissing contest between the Police department and Fire department is of no importance to me. They both have only one duty and that is to serve the citizens. The police were let of the hook on the protect part of their slogan To protect and serve. And going by this officers actions he is not serving the citizens but the government by writing ticket to get money for the state. The officer should have waited till the fireman was done aiding the injured citizen before starting to server the state government.
