    Default Question reloading 30-30

Hello all, I am new to this forum and reloading rifle rounds. I currently load 9mm, .40s&w, .44spl/.44mag, and .45colt on a Lee Loadmaster. I would like to start reloading for some of my hunting rifles, particularly my 30-30. The question I have is if it is possible to load Spitzer tip bullets in 30-30 brass? I am green in this area and am just curious if I can safely and effectively turn my 336 into a longer range weapon (longer than LeveRevolution anyways)? I believe 30-30 dies will ruin a non flat point bullet but was wondering if another .308 diameter die would work. Maybe even just the Hornady New Dimension dies? Thank you for any help ahead of time, any advice is greatly appreciated. I apologize if this a stupid question, but I am just curious.

If you load spitzers in a tubular magazine gun, you run a serious risk of setting off the rounds.

Use ONLY round or flat nose bullets in a 30-30!

Agreed, I forgot to mention that it would be single shot. I was just wondering if the gun/reload was even possible. I don't plan on using it repeatedly, but if the load was possible I'd have LeveRevolution follow up shots to avoid a tube explosion.

Or you can get some of Hornady's leverevelution rounds with the polymer tip and then be able to put them in the tube.
