I think that you could get it done. It might be a little more doable with the 338 Lapua than the win mag.The only thing wrong with the 338's is that they kill on both ends.....ouch....lol

I agree with RDW's points concerning both the Lapua and the "discomfort" at both ends of the trajectory.
Is there a reason you specified the WinMag?
338 Win mag is far more available than 338 lapua
