T/C Venture or Savage 11FXP3

I am looking at buying a new 7mm-08 for my son and I have narrowed it down to the T/C venture or a Savage 11FXP3. I am wondering if you have an opinion one way or the other. Any first hand experience with either one?

Savage is a more accurate rifle and In my humble opinion, get a .308 win instead of the 7mm-08

I don't know the T/C, but the Savages I've fired have been pretty sweet shooters. I'll second Festus' recommendation on .308 caliber, too.
