From what I read you can eat at a place such as redlobster, Fridays or somewhere that is a sit down restraunt but you can't go into the bar area. This is also a conflicting law because it also says you can't so be careful.
Gonna visit New Orleans-Restaurant Carry On my way back from TX, I'm going to detour through New Orleans. I've read the LA law page on this forum and am a little confused. Is the law that one may carry in a restaurant if he stays out of the bar area, or no restaurant carry if alcohol is served?

You can conceal carry in the resturant portion if you have a permit. Stay out of the bar section. No Open Carry at all if the place serves alcohol.
