    Default LD35-Act Relating to Concealed Firearms Locked in Vehicles

    An Act Relating to Concealed Firearms Locked in Vehicles

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

    Sec. 1. 26 MRSA §600 is enacted to read:

    § 600. Concealed firearms

    An employer or an agent of an employer may not prohibit an employee who has a valid permit to carry a concealed firearm under Title 25, chapter 252 from keeping a firearm in the employee’s vehicle as long as the vehicle is locked and the firearm is not visible.

    SUMMARY

    This bill provides that an employer may not prohibit an employee with a valid concealed firearms permit from keeping a firearm in the employee's vehicle as long as the vehicle is locked and the firearm is not visible.

    Rep. Cebra is the sponsor.

    Outstanding! Now we need something like this to happen in NH. I keep my firearm in my car as it is. I just don't tell anyone.

    Infidel~ Copy the legislation and ask your legislator to submit the bill. Should pass in NH no problem.

    It should pass now that the (R) control everything and can override a veto from the egg head. Their first step as I understand it is to pass a stand your ground law or some kind of castle law. After that I have written them asking them to pass the bill that was vetoed last year. It was a bill that would have a allowed people to record peace officers while preforming their dutys.I will attach this along with another e-mail I will be sending.
