The reason I said "rising crime rate" is probably the fact that I'm getting old and the crime rate is much higher then it was when I was young. I know statistics show gun ownership up and crime down in the present day, I think people are starting to realize that the police can't get there to protect them from a crime and you have to do something to protect yourself. I never thought that in my old age I would be carring a gun everywhere I go. Now the younger generation, the smart ones, realize its not safe out there and there are more BGs on the streets. Therefore more gun sales. Politicians are trying to figure out how to keep track of the good guys buying guns, they can't control the BGs because they don't buy their guns like I do.

I agree, there does seem to be a relationship!

Firearms sales went ballistic as soon as obama was elected. October 2008 ar lowers where 60 to 125 depending on brand. November 10 2008 ar lowers if you could fin done where 140 up t a few hundred for one. Part for "black" guns where both hard to find and prices went through the roof. Obama is directly responsible for more firearms sales then any person in history. Now he is coming to what most hope is the end of his reign people are again afraid of what he may try before leaving office in the way of firearm bans or restrictions.

Obama? Really? Why do people always make excuses as To why they voted for him. It always baffles me that people believe the rhetoric and vote for these people. It is very simple. Don't vote for the guy who is all about big government, more regulation and more restrictions an then complain about restrictions being made into law. It is like having a pet lion and being shocked when it eats your family. What the heck do you think is going to happen?? ANY smaller government person is better than ANY big government person. Name one law that has been passed recently that increases or protects freedom from regulation. None. Small government people block these laws, big government people write and pass them. THIS IS NOT A REPUBLICAN / DEMOCRAT ISSUE. IT IS ABOUT CORE VALUES.

As for those who will bash anyone who spends money, such as complaining about increases in education or military spending, it is called infrastructure and investing in your future GDP. Stop handouts to foreign countries, stop passing these ridiculous regulatory laws and get the government out of our everyday lives. Everything will be better.

Don't tell me Obama is worth anything. Don't give me an excuse that there wasn't another choice. It's crap. If you voted for Obama, don't make an excuse as to why you did. Stand proud and wait for your doorbell to ring. When you open it, expect to hear "Hi, I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

There is no excuse to vote for a restrictor, a socialist, or anyone who thinks laws are the answers to all ills. No matter who is on the other side as long as their core values are for more freedom and less regulation, that should be the lever that is pulled.

Now, let me not fall off this high perch my soap box is on....

Then riddle me this. When Obama got elected not when he took office but when he was elected firearm sales skyrocketed. Ar lowers went from 65 to 125 up to 3 and 4 hundred in places if you could get them. Ammo became non available the shelves went dry. We had waiting time to order firearms due to the demand. Obame is personally responsible for the biggest increase in firearm sales in history. Many ar parts are juts now becoming readily available for the old prices. Waiting times for ar's from every major builder is in the months. The real big jump in NFA stuff suppressors mainly waiting time for NFA checks went from 2 to 3 months to 5 to 6 months and is STILL at the 4 to 6 month wait.
