I am a resident of Texas and have a carry permit. Also I am not a lawyer. In Texas, as long as you are not prohibited from owning a firearm, you may carry one concealed in your vehicle. As long as you are not stopped and charged with a class A or B misdomeaner or a felony, you can legaly carry your firearm concealed in your car. No problem if you are charged with a class C Misdomeanor (traffic ticket) Would point out that Texas reconizes States that do not reconize us. There is also a traveling exemption, although you may have to argue that with the Judge. If it is conceled, there should be no problem
