I have to say, I enjoy the nuggets in these forums. I came in thinking "9MM, good choice!"/ Read about carry-through. So, I figured, well, maybe a .40 or a 10 MM? /Kept reading. Decided, o.k., a .45 = no carry through, many suppliers, It's THE answer./Then I read about .357SIG. More impact energy than the .45., and no big bad "magnum" stigma, in court if I ever had to use it. (If you can use 'perceived', I can use 'stigma'!) More platforms, too. Alright, I thought, This Is IT. Then my wife e-mails me about all the black bears roaming our new neighborhood, some with cubs, now that Spring has sprung! So....maybe a .44 mag Super Blackhawk (Redhawk?) open carried and a .357SIG backup. My personal 'weight-training' program at no additional cost, too. Life IS interesting! - Joe
