I'm just curious as to whether or not Taurus's are any good. I haven't had any experience with them personally but I hear mixed things. They're cheap but that doens't necessarily mean they're lousy. Do we have any Taurus experts that I could hear from?

I am not sure about experts, but I have owned mine for about a year. It is one of my primary conceal carry weapons. I have run about 3000 rounds through it and have had very few issues. It works flawlessly for about the first 200+ rounds at the range. After that, it works pretty well, but does have occasional round ejection failures. But there again, that is after about 200 or so rounds. Once it is cleaned, the issues go away. It just doesn't like to be dirty. As long as you keep it clean, it works well. I also have an old Taurus Revolver. I have never had a problem with it. Hope this helps.
