I was told on may 28th the gun board will be reviewing my ap. that will be 51 days after finger prints were submitted, which was when I was told the process starts... so... so much for the 45 day limit. but at least it's coming soon. too bad michigan will not accept my utah permit that I just renewed.

When I first applied, in 2003, it took 110 days, from the day I submitted my prints and application, to the day I got the card in the mail, saying I could pick up my permit.

I didn't need to go in front of the gun board in Mecosta County and it only took 2 weeks to get my permit.

Ok, but WHEN was this? I was told at the time, the major hold up on my permit was because of the cutbacks Jenny imposed on the state police after she took over as governor. Prior to her administration, I heard longest wait was about 4 weeks. Except in Wayne county (Detroit).
