Years of waste and mismanagement have left Detroit in shambles. The city is broke, perpetually on the verge of bankruptcy, and unavoidable budget cuts have left the city woefully understaffed.
But how bad has the situation become? It has gotten so bad that for some residents, it takes the police about four hours to respond to their calls.
Seriously, up to four hours (and they’re the lucky ones).

Yes indeed, call 911, then call Pizza Hut, and you won't be hungry when the police get there.

Isn't that why they say 911 is the dial-a-prayer number?

I live in a county that is larger then some states. We no longer have 24 hour coverage due to budget cuts. We are lucky to have a deputy show up the same day, depending on the crime. The city dwellers have it some what better.

I believe Detroit is a city where the people have elected a Democrat every election since the mid to late 50s.
