Hello everyone,
I was talking to a friend of mine the other day online (he's in Afghanistan) and was BSing about the things we had a hard time finding while on our last deployment together, and wasn't really surprised to find out that they still can't get some of the things that help with relaxation. Sooooo, if any of you have any hunting related magazines, books, or DVDs that you would like to donate to some soldiers, please drop me a PM for the address.
Charlie is a good NCO and will make sure the stuff gets spread around to all of the younger guys around his section. He asked for Remoil because the army issue CLP sucks when dealing with sand, but I think I got that covered as I am sending about 10 bottles on Monday.
Thanks everyone!

Thanks a lot everyone! My buddy has a lot of younger soldiers over there who love hunting and the outdoors, so thanks you very much!

Hey buckslayer... here's a funny story. When I was in Iraq in 2005 I was given this form to fill out. It offered 2 free magazine subscriptions for a deployed soldier. I picked guns and ammo and another hunting magazine. It was supposed to help you relax and all that while deployed. well.... Guns and ammo finally came in about a month ago.
What helps me relax during deployment is getting away from everyone, and surfing the WEB in my CHU. Leadership can be a pain in the ass, dealing with other peoples "issues" or parents lack of raising a proper man or woman. Seems I get mostly spoon fed kids who don't want to work and want free hand outs.
