I recently sent the forms in the VA for the continuation of benifits for my two oldest (college kids). I had asked the VA for the forms and had them filled out/signed and notarized by the school. I just received a request from the VA for more forms of a different nature and this will again slow down and or stop the process while they sort through their own paperwork empire...meanwhile I get shorted over $135.00 per month per student over 18. I am still waiting on the $667.00 they owe me from the last time they did this in Dec of 2006.
I am in the process of getting Congressman Jeff Miller involved. Any other suggestions? I am tired of getting ripped off by some bureacrat that is all about more forms and less action.

Contact the nearest VA to you and get hold of the patient advocate. There should also be a Veterans Benefits Officer in the facility. You might also contact your county Veterans Service Officer.
