Careful how you advertise this..........Basic Pistol is an 8 hr course and defensive skills can't be taught in this.......Not trying to be a pain but the 4 hr course is First Step Pistol.......And there can be no self defense issues taught in that class.

While our 8-hour NRA Basic Pistol for MN Carry course is perfect for the beginner or new pistol owner, this four-hour course is for those who are familiar with the basic function, use, and care of a pistol, and want the permit to carry or renew an existing permit. This course is NOT an NRA-approved course.
This training fulfills MN requirements of Statute 624.714 Subd. 2a. (Training in the safe use of a pistol) for a new permit to carry, or a renewal.

I recently took this class, and I gotta say, it was pretty awesome. Lots of 1 on 1 instruction, and the pistol techniques covered waaaaaay more than just standing 10 yards out and making a decent group.
