I'm from western Montana working down by Springfield for the next couple months.
I usually conceal however I'd like to know about open here.
I've read your castle doctrine (wow about a book larger than our "if your life's in danger kill him and six or more Indians is a war party). But I can't see anything about not open carrying. Obviously the black flag places are mentioned but other than that it seems OK.

There's no local laws in Springfield and St Louis is there?

How is the public around guns here? I know even back in Montana if your not a cop or in camo you'll freak someone out.
Are the local LEO's good?

Pretty much just planning on going to the range for a class on Saturday and don't want to have to change from a IWB to OWB. Or going to Church its easy to just clip the Blackhawk on and off to compley with your no guns in Church law than the Super Tuck.

Here in Missouri although it is an open carry state, different municipalities and counties play different rules. I live in a St. Louis county where open carry is not allowed. The next county next to ours which is just about 5 minutes away allows open carry...so travelling around here is just the pits and very confusing. I just cc because I hate to change wardrobe staunch every time time I am in an open carry county. Summer time I use men's shorts. They have large pockets i can conceal my gun, even if hubby says my butt looks bigger than when I will wear women's shorts. As for church, I cc too...no one knows. If I have to wear a dress, I thigh carry. Always have my gun with me, close to my body, not in a purse. I went to classes near Jefferson City...with my husband. Our castle doctrine here is very good.
