Is it illegal to Conceal Carry in a bank, in state of NV? I was looking through the laws of where I can't carry............School, Hospital, Post Office...................I don't see one that says Banks. And as far as non listed areas, the only thing that can be done if they do have a "No-Guns" sign, is ask me to leave. I wouldn't even be in violation if I disregarded the sign, only legal violation is if they asked me to leave and I refused.

Yes you can carry in banks. The only places in Nevada you may not carry is in; government buildings, schools and on Indian land. Everywhere else is OK. Even if it is posted No Firearms on the business, it is their request. If they should happen to find you carrying all they can do is ask you to leave. If you refuse then they can call the police because you are trespassing, as they have the right to refuse doing business with anyone.

You can even carry legally carry in your car as well without any hassle as long as you stay in city limits if you go into North Las Vegas it becomes a felony to have a firearm in your vehicle. This is some gang law that NLVPD came up with in the early 80's. If you do get stopped by any police officer they will ask to see ccw and Blue card (registration card). You have to take your weapons to any police sub station empty and in a case to get it they give you the cards for each weapon on the spot.
Not sure, what you are saying about staying in the city limits. If legal to own a firearm, one can carry a loaded firearm anywhere in the car anywhere in Nevada not including the no gun areas previously mentioned, Schools, government property restrictions, and major airports.Originally Posted by acmccabe88

Some have posted on open carry dot org of open carrying in North Las Vegas without an issue. However, as I said NLVPD appears to be willing to throw in a carry charge if one is carrying when stopped for something else. To add to the already answered question if it is legal to carry in a bank there is several posting on the above open carry org site of those that have OCed in many of the NV. banks and not an issue.
A CCW permit is not required when carrying a firearm in the vehicle and not on the person. Loaded under the seat, glove box, center seat storage all ok without a CCW. Blue cards are only needed if one is a Clark County resident. All other legal carried Clark County nonresidents’ or non-Nevada resident’s legal firearms are not required to obtain a blue card. I open carry all over Las Vegas and have no blue card, as I am not a Clark County resident. If not CCW-ing on your person, they have no need to ask for a CCW card and usually do not. One should only be asked for a blue card if they see one is a Clark County resident. Per Metros web page, the blue card is not required to be on the person.
I CC in Vegas banks all the time.
Speaking of North Las Vegas police...those cowboys have violated state laws for years, and have no intention of changing.

How about casinos with AZ CCW permit? If out of state permit do you still have to get the stupid little card?
Casinos are no different from banks. As long as you have a valid CFP (and AZ permits are accepted by NV), then you have no problem. Don't be surprised if security tells you to leave if they find out you are carrying, but it isn't illegal.
A Clark county resident with a blue card has no more additional carry rights than a non-Clark County legally carried firearm without the blue card. The blue card carries absolute no additional carry privileges other than forcing a new Clark County resident to make a trip to the police station with their firearms to register them.
In the casinos, there has been some that have open carried with no issues. However those that did open carry often believe their firearm was not that obvious and not spotted. If you have a conceal permit that is recognized by NV then you have the opportunity to either open carry or conceal in a casino. I almost never go in the casinos; if they do not want my open firearm the do not need my money. However, in the rare occasion when I am with friends or family that want to visit a casino I carried concealed. I have been asked a few times to leave a casino when open carry usually very politely however I have read where some casinos can have some hard nose security and not very nice when asking to secure the firearm or leave.
As already said carrying in a NV casino is legal open or concealed with an accepted NV. permit. No blue card if not a NV. Clark County resident. However, a good chance a firearm will not be accepted per the casino rules. With that said, and not sure how many in NV, Indian own casinos may have their own rules and may have their own Indian land law.
All property on Indian land is illegal to carry. It is even Illegal to carry in that Wal-Mart(Indian land) across the street from GSR/Hilton/ whatever they call it these days.
