| there may not be too many of us out there, but at least there's one. Nice to find a forum for concealed carry, I just got my permit about a month ago, and am looking at a Para PDA .45 as a potential carry option. Still just a little undecided though any suggestions would be appreciated though. I'm a smaller framed female so need something with stopping power, and yet hideable all at the same time. Good luck huh!! |

| Welcome neighbor! My husband is from WY, great place. I'm also a smaller framed female, and right now carry a colt mustang .380 but at some point plan to move up to a higher caliber. I've always liked the feel of the Kahr line--nice and slim. Double stacked varieties like glocks, XD's, etc. don't fit my hands so they are out for me but do work for other ladies (also thick is harder to conceal). So as far as the firearm goes, handle/shoot as many as you can and get the one you like best. Let us know what you end up with! Finding a way to carry it is also important and you'll probably end up with a stack of different holsters by the time you find the one you like best. On body carry is better than carry in a purse, although I do both depending on the day and what I'm wearing. I like my smartcarry (smartcarry.com) holster because it doesn't mess with my waistline and is super concealed--can carry my kids on my hip without bumping into the gun also. Again, let us know what you figure out. Feel free to ask any questions you have, there are lots of knowledgable, friendly folks here. Good luck and have fun! |
