Default Hello

Hi Everyone,

I found this website while searching for information on CCW Reciprocity for the State of Maine. I am very activeon a volunteer basis with my Attorney General's Office here in Michigan. We have done everything that they have asked of us to secure an agreement under their new law, but Maine seems to be moving very slowly on this one. Does anyone have any additional information?

Also, this site is very reminicent of the old packing.org and I was wondering if some of the same good folks had found their way here after that site went defunct.

Anyway, hello Everyone!!

Greetings fellow PDO refugee and welcome to USA Carry from the Hoosier State! Enjoy the site!

As for any attempts to secure reciprocity with Maine, you're not alone. Maine does not honor any out of state permits. Unlicensed open carry is legal there, but only while on foot. The only way a nonresident can legally carry concealed there is with a Maine nonresident permit. It is my understanding that you need not apply in person to get it.
