Cuomo said in his budget message that he wanted to shut down COBIS and replace it with a "nationally recognized" substitute. Who knows what he means by that?
He'll require that you etch with a micro laser, your name, address, SSN, home address, and DOB onto every cartridge case you have loaded and provide a blood, tissue, stool, urine and hair sample to apply for a permit to carry in NY... Ughhhh... Another reason I'm so glad dad took that promotion and moved us out of that cesspool. I have to say MA is not much better. NC is looking better all the time...Originally Posted by JimPage

I assume when you refer to NY as a "cesspool", you mean New York City and not the entire state (I also assume you mean the politics). Don't forget New York State is a huge state. I live in the Western Southern-tier and am as far away from NY City as I am from Washington DC. And as I have stated before, all the people I know around me have life styles that are so far removed from NYC, we may as well be on the moon.

I was born in the state... Ever glad to have moved.. Ahhhhh... I know the upstate area, family summer home in the Adirondack park... Why don't the residents of NY state isolate the city by voting districts and legislative boundaries? That would be a fight worth bleeding for...
But I've decided I don't really care about it.. Why have concern for it? I don't live there and don't care to...
