That sucks you have to do any of that in the first place.
cayuga county restrictions went down this morning to register my ruger blackhawk i just bought. also turned in my letter i wrote to hopefully have my restrictions lifted off my license. we'll see how it goes and i'll keep ya'll updated.

At the risk of sounding new........ Why do I notice some people having to go register their firearms?
The don't live in a free state like us. I don't think I could ever live in a state like that.
Different states= different rules I guess.
I have never had to register any of my weapons in North or South Carolina. (And they call US backward) Sheesh.
I just thought it was wierd to have to register a firearm that already has a paper trail before you leave the store. The only firearms I've ever brought to the police station are those I have checked out before I buy from a private party.
it is true that we have to get a permit to even own a handgun. we also have to register each handgun before we can take possesion of it (long guns we don't). however once we have we have are permit it's forever, unless we do something stupid. we also can carry in alot of places other people can't. i've read on here about not carrying in places that serve alchahol(sp), places with "no guns aloud" signs and a handfull of other restrictions. not a problem here. the only place we can't carry here is federal building's.
well i got the letter in the mail today saying not only no but hell no. i truly believed that i had wrote a good reason, in a good letter, with all the the proper grammar and the rest of the bull crap. you can be assurred that i will be voting for a different judge come the next election. if and when we get a "real" judge in, i will be reapplying.
I'm sorry. Keep trying and hopefully we can get the laws changed.
Too bad some here speak about what a Utopia NY is for gun laws.
it's all right. lucky for me i live in the country, and 99.9% of the time i can justify why i'm carrying according to their "restrictions". there's always something in "season", besides concealed mean's concealed :) . all in do time, i hope.
