how many pistols can you have on your permit I've been doing some research and have not yet found my answer. I am from New York and have a CCW for dutchess county and am trying to find out how many pistols I can have on my permit. Does anyone have any info on this??

Looks to me that you can have as many as you want. They just all need to be listed.

I usually only carry 3 to church, but up to 7 if I think some Deacons might forget theirs at home ...
In NYS there is no limit to the number of guns you can register on your permit. Your permit has room for five guns on the back. When you acquire more than that you are issued another card. One instructor that works with me has 99 handguns. He has 21 ID cards. Just make sure the license you carry matches whatever gun you're carrying.Originally Posted by RNannetti

There is no limit as to the number of pistols a permit holder can own. This was explained at the class I took prior to getting the permit. Of course, each must be registered. Some of the guys at my club own close to twenty. In Erie County, anything after pistol # five or six is listed on a second card.

You can carry as many as you want so long as they are listed on your license and you have your license with you.

My permit is smaller than a 3X5 card so I'm guessing I could only fit one on it
