Got kicked out of the mall for open carry

I've posted earlier in this my reasons why I refuse to get my CCW in NC.

in other threads ppl have talked about some sort of nc carry pamphlet...... what exactly is this and where can I find one?

OC is legal in NC without permit, except where forbidden by the law. This includes private property (the mall) IF a sign is posted. No gun signs carry the weight of law here (unlike other states.)

I don't like it, but private property rights are also good! I figure if I had a business, I'd like to be able to choose. (I'd have an extremely gun-friendly business, of course)

Still, if they ask you to leave, leave... that way you can't be charged for trespassing. The OP did good

You should be able to get a copy of the NC cch course handbook here. Pop me an e mail with your address and I can mail you one of the CCH handbooks at cost. It gives the defination of open carry and states that NC is a commonlaw state for open carry. IT IS LEGAL.

thanks for y'alls input guys. a few things I want to throw out here: I never argued about it with anybody. when they told me to remove my firearm I told them I would no problem but I also asked "why" they couldn't give me a straight answer.

I was a weapons specialist in the Navy and a RSO pistol instructor, so yes I have a bit of training with my guns. I also have taken the required course needed to obtain my CCW. The biggest reason I havent gotten my CCW is because I dont believe my right to "bear arms" means I have to ask permission first. thats exactly what every person who has a CCW has done. they have asked their government for permission to carry their firearms. I will not ask permission to do what I was born able to do. but thats just me and I'm getting off subject.

It is not asking permission to carry. You already have that in North Carolina with the open carry laws within the state. I look at concealed carry as a permit that lets me avoid records checks and bypass buying a purchase permit from the sheriffs department for every purchase. Do you refuse to buy a purchase permit from the Sheriffs department because you will not ask permission to exercise your second amendment right to buy a pistol?

Unless you are carrying an unregistered pistol, how is getting your CCW any different than purchasing a firearm that must be registered? Either way the state and gov knows all about you........what is the difference? I wouldn't open carry in a mall or many other places for that matter, that is the beauty of "legally" concealing.
