Looks like SB34 has cleared the Senate and is on its way to the House.

I didn't call them but I did email over 130 State Senators, Congressman and Represetatives over the past week concerning SB 34, HB 52, HB 74, HB 111, and HB 63 and National House of Reps HB 822. There's much work going on in both Raleigh and Wash DC in an effort to support our rights...but you have to let them know you need them to continue to support and co-sponsor these bills.

Not exactly unscathed...Rep Ross, Faison and Hall would like to see it go away...but this year that's not happening. A concession was made for Ross that allows bartenders to ask whether you are carrying when ordering a beer....but that should be thrown out and the pro-2nd amendment lobbyist are seeing to it.

I have been pretty active in this fight via GRNC. This and the Restaurants & Parks carry bill are the biggest items on our plate right now. Stay informed and keep up the pressure on our elected servants!

Ross has been a persistant anti-gun fanatic since forever. She was the one who pigeonholed the "Castle Doctrine" in her committee after it passed overwhelmingly in the other chamber. (When still under Dem control, pre '10 election, no less.)

In short, a one person wrecking crew versus the will of the people.

Now that her committee is NOT under her control any longer, she can obfuscate, delay, whine, preach and generally show her butt..... but the handwriting is on the wall for passage of some realistic gun rights laws.

NOT that this is in any way going to deter her from making every effort to introduce other BS Bills to offset or counter any pro-gun gains made.

She is, simply, a "fanatic". One HAS to wonder about the mind set of a constituency that keeps a fanatic in office!

Fanatic: Will not change their mind. Cannot chance the subject. Tedious at best.
