| Hi, I am new to the board and need some advice. I have searched online and cant find the answer. My question: I am a Virginia resident and DO NOT have a concealed carry permit. I will be traveling via car to South Carolina and want to take my handgun. Do I need anything special to travel through North Carolina with the handgun in the car/trunk? Thanks for any help. Robert |

| In NC your firearm must be in the luggage/trunk area of the vehicle or fully exposed. Unlike SC you can not carry your loaded firearm in the console or golve compartment. This site may help http://www.ncdoj.com/DocumentStreame...REARMSLAWS.pdf |

| Correct. There is nothing in NC law prohibiting the carrying of handguns that aren't concealed in a vehicle.
