I suspect we can also add our Fearless Leader to that list, if not currently, certainly in the foreseeable future. Seems to me they should be leading by example, neh? What's up with that do you suppose? "Fine for you but not for me"??
That is because most liberal socialists believe in sharing your wealth not theirs. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

What makes you think liberals are opposed to reasonable accumulations of wealth?

give me you house in France
If you had worked hard, obtained an education, been a successful lawyer and made some good investments, you'd be rich like me and able to afford a house in France.

Nope, you're wrong. Liberal Socialists pay the same taxes as everyone else in their income range.

And if the generational-welfare recipients had worked hard, obtained an education, and TRIED just a little, they'd be part of the productive middle class and all our taxes could drop by not having to support them.

How many ambulances and malpractice cases did you need to get "rich" by the way?

The American people were overwhelmingly in favor of an an income tax because they believe the wealthiest Americans had consolidated too much economic power. The Senate passed the Income Tax Amendment unanimously. The House passed it 318 to 14. It only took 43 months to get it ratified.

But is not the idea of obtaining an education, working hard and becoming successful the antithesis of being a socialist? As far as raising taxes I have a novel idea. Instead of a progressive income tax that continues to soak the middle class why do we not go back to what our country was once before it tried to be like the communists and instead curb the spending.

How much do you suppose we could drop our taxes?

That would depend on the number of people that started working for a living. In reality, I don't see a reduction in taxes. The government would just find something else to spend it on.
