Slightly off topic, but is the .416 Cheytak (sp?) in use anywhere? Supposedly it has a range as far as or farther than the .50 (of course you still have to be able to hit what you're aiming at).
Definitely someone I want on my side. An amazing shooter.

The .50 was selected for use in a sniper rifle, not because of it's ballistics or accuracy, but in typical DOD fashion, they chose it because they have LOTS of it and a proven re-supply process. The .408 Chey Tac and the .416 Barrett are each better selections based on ballistics data.
